On the typical reservation such as one I come from, 90% or worse unemployment is normal. In a typical town around us 7% unemployment is really bad. It is no wonder why many of us move to the urban centres to live and access education to better
our prospects. It is a case of doing what you have to do, given the situation. Knowing the ills of our house members, we try to set the climate to get our people working, but given the global recession, it is no easy feat.
All the tools are now in order and registered in the global arena, we feel that it is the next phase in implementing Delgamuukxw. The hereditary chiefs know that some criticize them and that is perfectly okay as long as it is done respectfully. If things can be done better, the hereditary chiefs are open to hear how that may be done. When it comes right down to it, Art Wilson do people love politicians? Unfortunately they are a necessary evil, you might say.
We are reminded of our guiding principles all the time and that is good; we need to stay on that ’naahisjadja we say, hold the course, stay on the same road.
Now we set ourselves up in the global arena that filters down to the region and then spinoffs to the people. We know that things are not happening soon enough, as the first breakthrough happens we will know about. The first will be the Northwest Transmission line that will provide power for investment. We need professionals to come home and be in a situation where there will more than enough. Good could be a double edge sword that we need to be careful of. This is a very important point that you remind us of, and we thank you.
